On behalf of the Organizing Committee I look forward welcoming all the national rowing teams to the 10^th World University Rowing Championship in Belgrade.

As organizers of Universiade 2009, we made efforts for Ada Ciganlija Rowing Course to get a completely new look. We are sure that the Course will give the competing teams the best and fairest possible rowing conditions.

Belgrade is well known as good host and we shall do our best to make you feel comfortable and make this a memorable event for all participants.

Dear participants of the 10^th World University Rowing Championship,

With great pleasure City of Belgrade is preparing for the organization of the 10^th World University Rowing Championship, to be held in Belgrade from September 5^th to September 7^th, 2008. I truly believe that Belgrade with its traditional openness and hospitality will successfully organize this big international sport event.

Our City has long tradition of organizing the greatest sports manifestations. The Regatta Center Ada Ciganlija, where the competition is going to take place, is one of the City's most important sport centers and one of a few Regatta Centers in the world, which is virtually in the hart of the City.

City Authorities and Organizing Committee will monitor that Regatta Center provides maximum conditions necessary for a successful competition.

Furthermore, Belgrade has also many sites of both historical and cultural importance that can fulfill your free time during the competition.

As a Deputy Mayor of Belgrade I would like to wish the participants of the 10^th World University Rowing Championship to achieve top rowing results and have a pleasant and memorable stay in our City.
